My Sailing Backyard Google View

Sunday was a beautiful day for sailing the Chesapeake Bay. Hurricane Earl had passed and west winds at 10 knots provided some nice crisp sailing out of Rock Hall Maryland. I wonder if the sattalite view is on real time since there was low humidity providing a nice clear picture. Boat Drinks

Andrew Zaldivar’s Haircut for Locks of Love

</object>

Big shoutout to Andrew Zaldivar, son of my longtime friend Manny who’s off to the Air Force Academy next month. Before he goes though Andrew decided to donate his 2 foot locks of hair to “Locks of Love”, a charity for children with hair loss due to medical issues. Great job Andrew on the money raised and the awareness.

West Philly Sailboat House Junk

This is an ornament on the 4800 block of Baltimore Ave and it’s been here quite some time. Gives true meaning to my Posterous blog “Sailing and Slumming”.
Don’t quite know what to think of it.

I used Autostitch iPhone app to piece two shots together. This is the most crowded I’ve seen the Clark Park “bowl” in quite some time.

Better Than Errol Flynn, 1 week & counting!

I’ve been a big fan of Errol Flynn, on screen and off for over 40 years since I first saw him in The Adventures of Robin Hood. He was an avid sailor and I named both my boats for him, “In Like Flynn”.
But Flynn was quite reckless in his own life and 2009 marks the 100th anniversary of his birth and the 50th anniversary of his death.
Well this week, I passed Flynn in life as far as days lived.
Thanks to http://dead.atyourage.com a morbib favorite web site of mine you can see who you passed by in life.
