It’s so nice to stroll Eagle Beach early in the morning before the sun gets blazing in Aruba and I met a really nice guy that meets up with a few friends everyday at sunrise to workout and to feed the birds. I had my Rode boom microphone which was great for the sound of the birds, conversation, and eliminating the sound of the wind. This is a quick peak at feeding the birds on the beach before the rumble of crowds, wind, and traffic pollute the tranquility of the morning.

I’m heading to my time share in Aruba next month and it happens to coincide with Aruba Hi Winds tournament. Looking forward to pounding some Bishiri beers on the beach and watching some kitesailing competion.
Cheers
I’ve stopped by this the Butterfly Farm the last 2 times I vacationed in Aruba. It is a quick little tour and Demanda, a high school biology teacher, does a great job at filling in some very important butterfly information.

Demanda insisted we try something new in Arbua and many of the people at our time share Paradise Beach Villas suggested we try Madame Janette for some excellent sea food. Being one that eats to live, I’ll let Demanda do the talking. Beware of the two extreme sizes of Balashi Beer served at the restaurant. Tiny 80ozs. and a much more filling 32 oz. Unfortunately, there are only two 32 oz. mugs so let’s hope one doesn’t break.

I’ve had Aruba on my mind the past week and I’ll be heading back yet again to enjoy the time share I own with my ex. I go on the even years, she has the odd. This year I’ll be having fun at Aruba Hi Winds in July. But just as I’m making airline reservations comes the startling news of a hidden video which depicts Joran Van der Sloot chatting about watching Natale Halloway allegedly die and dumping the body offshore. When this story broke in May 2005 (my ex was there for the search) my first thoughts were that they would probably never find the body as any body who has been to the scene knows that there is a constant offshore wind and dozens of boats at Fishermans Huts nearby. I’ve windsurfed this water many times and just the thought of dumping a body that may very may well still be alive really sickens me. I’ve been a nurse long enough to know the odds of an 18 year old recovering from any sort of possible cardiac arrestor drug reaction are very good. So let’s hope Aruba gets it right, gets some confessions and files charges of manslaughter before I head back this summer.
A little bonus from our trip to Aruba. One of my favortite things to do in Aruba is to sail on Mi Dushi , an 80 foot 1925 Swedish ketch with an 18 foot beam and 10 foot draft. For $35 you get a real sail in 20-25 knot wind, open bar and snorkel. I’ve been doing it for over 10 years and they have even let me helm her! I highly recommend it and Demanda loved it too!
