Killer Sailing Twitter Meetup

Killer Tips for Winning Friends and Influencing People on Twitter from Chris Suspect on Vimeo.

This short documentary was put together by four people who met on Twitter and set up a sailing tweet up in the Chesapeake Bay. While you will learn how Twitter can bring people together for a great time, you’ll also learn some killer tips on how to use the site effectively. Each of us in the film have different motivations and strategies for the site, but in the end you’ll learn one trick that’s a surefire show stopper.

The concept for the film was created at breakfast before the sail. We shot it with one camera, each of us taking turns.

If you would like to follow us on Twitter we are @chris_suspect, @jonnygoldstein, @iconjohn and @scottstead.

Enjoy!

Holland Brasil World Cup Oranjestad Aruba July 2, 2010

Aruba, with it’s strong Dutch ties for centuries is the third best place in the world to watch Holland play World Cup. Behind Holland and South Africa of course. Great party on the island with lots of Brasil fans too, and none of the fighting you see with a Mets Phillies or Eagles Giants game. Cheers, Jimmy CraicHead…

Beer with Johnny Rotten Lydon 1983 NYC

If you’re old enough to remember recording video on VHS, you might remember the white balance button. Or in my case, sometimes forget to balance the color. It was easy to forgot since the camera monitor was in black and white.
This is prized footage of meeting with John Lydonaka Johnny Rotten. The event was an art gallery opening for was for Futura 2000 in NYC 1983. My friend Ari coaxes John into saying the letters W K D U, which stands for WKDU FM 91.7 the student run radio station at Drexel University.
I have more footage of interviewing Futura and Fab 5 Freddy which I hope to post in a few weeks.

Pirate Beach Plunder Rock Hall 2009

The second Pirates and Wenches Weekend arrived to big crowds and a bit warmer weather but that didn’t slow any of the activities. This specific event was the dinghy beach plunder and reenactment of The Legend of Graybeard – PART II – The Abduction of Pearl. The nights previous event, Pirate’s Sea Shanty Sing-A-Long was shot on another camera and I’ll be posting that in the future. Many thanks to
Valhallas Pirates Valhallas Pirates and The Brigands to name just a few.

Crackhead Breakup on Philadelphia SEPTA Trolley

I ran into a totally bizarre scene when I boarded a city bound trolley the other night. Now I’ve been riding SEPTA since 1972 and have seen a lot of kooks but this duo was crazy. It was already going on whe I boarded at 46th street but held off whipping out the Sanyo Xacti till the “lady” started slugging the “gentelman”. The ordeal lasted till City Hall and I pushed the paparazzi factor till I faced the two head on with same snappy results. Happy to say that there was no violence and a happy ending. The bitch dropped the loser, you go girl!

1983 Memorial Day Old City Philadelphia

I finally finished up one of the first videos I ever shot with the 2 piece RCA VCR and camera I bought in 1983. It was quite cumbersome by today’s standards and the battery life was quite short. My good friend Chris “Theo” Theodore led the interviews with some of Philly’s most colorful characters. The Sixers had just won the NBA Championship and Old City was in quite a Brotherly Love kind of mood.
Keep an eye out around the 2:40 mark for a ghost town of 300 block of Market St, years before any type of revival had started. Enjoy!
