For the last several years or so a Eastern State Penitentiary had played host to Philadelphia’s celebration of Bastille Day. The prison which served from 1829 to 1971 is now a National Historic Monument. Marie Antionette can be heard yelling “let them eat Tastykake” a Philadelphia pasty tradition since 1914.

Philly native Drew Olanoff was on a Philadelphia morning news show to talk about Drews diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma. I’m no stranger to the tragedy of cancer as my aunt and uncle succumbed to it in recent years, not to mention I work in a hospital. But Drew is fighting this speed bump in his life by drawing awareness on the internet thru Blamedrewscancer.
